Choroni is a coastal town located at the northern end of Girardot, Aragua, Venezuela; in the outskirts of the Cordillera de la Costa, with a population not exceeding 5000 people. The proper name for Choroni Beach is Playa Grande, but as it is situated near Choroni (most popular), it is called as Choroni Beach. Agriculture, tourism cocoa and fishing is the primary occupation of the town.
Choroni Beach or Playa Grande has a beautiful one kilometer coastal area backed with malecon, sea-wall and palm; where you can enjoy beautiful moments of Caribbean Sea washing the coastal area and, pelicans diving for fish. One can also see the mountains bounded by the coconut tree forest; hawkers and local vendors providing service (such as food, drinks and beach items) at the beach. The average climate of this beach is approximately 31 degrees.
