Praia do Forte is a tourist district which is developed as an Eco Resort by Klaus Peters, who bought tons of land earlier and converted it to this wonderful ecosystem. This is purely a tourist destination hence one could find many boutiques and restaurants lined up for travelers. There are hotels which have exciting excursions such as boat trips, horse riding, whale spotting and exploration of rainforest & sand dunes.

Specialty of the beach:
There are many swimming pools, white sand beaches dotted with barracas and palm trees. The high reef that stretches 150 feet into the ocean from the shore is greatest specialty where receding low tides exposes wonderful sea creatures in the tiny tide pools such as colorful fish and variety of bathers. One can take a walk into the miniature safari along the coral which could be sharp and slippery sometimes.

Activities at beach:
This beach is always overcrowded hence there are many sports activities such as beach volleyball, fishing and swimming at the beach.

Eat and Drink out at Morro de Sao Paulo:
One could taste wide variety of Brazilian food such as great fish, moquecas and sea foods. There are lot of good places which offers great taste such as the seafood moqueca, Sobrado da Vila, Al. do Sol, Pousada Costa Smeralda, Bar Tango (best drinks) and Jenny's mum and dad.

What to See:
If you are in Praia Do Forte then your tour is incomplete without visiting the Pojuca waterfalls and the city of Salvador which is a vibrant city known for its beach life, African traditions and culture.
One could also visit the old popular Portuguese architectural colonial center which reflects Portuguese era.
One of the biggest attractions is the Sea Turtle sanctuary which is located right near the beach, which has variety of big and small turtles, stingrays and sharks. They also offer discount on ticket for senior citizens.
Lighthouse and Garcia d Avila on hilltop (dates back 16th century), are wonderful spots to discover.

Night Life:
On weekends one could hear the music from bars and restaurants, where everybody gathers for party. The most famous is The Bar do Souza, which is at the entrance of the village famous for caipirinha, siringuela (famous fruit) and fishball.
