Pinamar Beach is located 340 km away from Buenos Aires at the edge of pine forest, along the Argentinean coastline. This beach is surrounded by pine trees groove, hence this beach is named as pinamar which means Pine Sea; which also refers to local terrain which consist of pine strew dunes.
Pinamar has beautiful vast beach which extends up to 22 km, dwelled with sand hills where lot of beach activities takes place. One of the greatest ceremonies at pinamar is tourist gathering ceremony which takes place before summer starts (in the month of January). This water ceremony indicates beginning of summer season where the priests bless the water at Pinamar beach, and lifeguards create beautiful flowers in the sea with colorful torches. This ceremony concludes with toast, fireworks and music festival.
